Brewery Overview:

Founded by avid outdoor enthusiasts, Unmapped Brewing is built around a passion for time spent in nature and quality craft beer. Located in the western Twin Cities suburb of Minnetonka, Unmapped features a 20bbl brewing system as well as a large taproom where customers can enjoy a locally made brew seven days a week.

The design of the Unmapped Brewing taproom embodies the spirit of the company by bringing elements of the natural world indoors. Owner’s JD and Megan wanted to capture the feeling of enjoying the outdoors in their taproom by incorporating natural elements into its design. This is what led them to Timeworn.

Describe the design of the Unmapped Brewing taproom and how it represents your brand?

Custom tabletops for breweries, Solid Oak Butcher Block original color restaurant table tops and benches. Our goal with Unmapped Brewing was to create a craft brewery that captured the spirit and excitement of being outdoors. My wife and I love hiking, biking, kayaking, and doing anything outdoors and we wanted our brewery and taproom to represent this passion. Brand incorporate feelings of the outdoors and natural elements. To do this, we brought as much of the outdoors into our taproom by including as many natural elements, like wood, as we could.

Timeworn was a perfect fit for this idea. We were immediately attracted to the beauty of their tables and knew the wooden table tops would provide the unique naturalness that we desired.

What is your routine for cleaning and maintaining the table tops?

Aside from being beautiful, they are extremely durable tables. Simply spraying them down with cleaning solution at the end of each day has kept them looking as great as the day we received them.

Describe your experience working with the Timeworn team.

Custom tabletops for breweries, Solid Oak Butcher Block original color restaurant table tops and benches. We had the opportunity to interact with nearly everyone at Timeworn and each and every person was great! Amanda is awesome. She knew exactly what we were looking for and guided us to the perfect style and size of wooden table tops. Amanda responded quickly to every small request and inquiry we had and was always incredibly friendly.

Working with a family business, meeting the team, and seeing how the table tops are crafted firsthand was a fantastic experience. The level of care and respect that Timeworn gives their clients is something you don’t see very often anymore.

Did you work with an outside design firm to build out your vision for the taproom?

Our architect spearheaded most of the design work for the taproom however, we were the ones that discovered Timeworn’s table tops. When we presented examples of the wooden table tops to the architect, they were really impressed by the quality of the tables and gave us their blessing to use any Timeworn tables in the taproom design.

How did you first discover Timeworn?

Construction of our brewery began in January 2017 and we found Timeworn soon after that. We were searching for “natural wood furniture” on Google and discovered the Timeworn website. The website wonderfully highlighted their many table top options and conveyed the high quality of craftsmanship that goes into each one. It was very easy to envision their wooden table tops in our taproom and Amanda’s friendliness sealed the deal.

Tell us about the new Unmapped Brewing shuffleboards!

We were so pleased with our experience working with Timeworn that when we decided we wanted to add shuffleboard tables to our taproom they were our first call. Even though shuffleboards are not one of their standard products, they were eager to take on this project. The Timeworn team put the same high level of expertise and craftsmanship into our custom shuffleboards and even screen printed the Unmapped logo onto them. They turned out great and are quickly becoming a focal point in our taproom!

What has the response been to the table tops?

The response to our tables has been so great! When people comment on the taproom, one of the first things they always mention is how beautiful the table tops look and how perfectly they complement the rest of the taproom’s design.

Anything else you’d like to add?

Timeworn’s customer service is fantastic and their table tops are incredible. I absolutely recommend Timeworn to any brewery or restaurant owner looking for authentic and truly original wooden table tops.
